Sisters High School Girls Golf Teams - 2007 and 2008. Individual and Team

Champions. The Sisters High School girls’ golf teams from 2007 and 2008

consisted of an amazing group of champions on and off the golf courses. The 2007

team, coached by Mary Flande (2016 HOF inductee), won both the district

championship and the state championship. Lead at the State Championship

Tournament by sophomore Lindsay Reeve with a fourth-place finish, the team

consisted of Reeve, Alexis Wainwright (fifth overall), Shelby Ross, Meghan

Crowder, and Claire Mutchler. The 2008 team, again coached by Mary Flande,

repeated as both district and state champions. Lindsay Reeve finished as state co-

medalist. Lead again at the State Championships by Reeve, the team consisted of

Alexis Wainwright (making her fourth state appearance), Ocean Yap-Powell,

Meghan Crowder, Claire Mutchler, Shelby Ross, and Emily Rawls. Reeve continued

her golfing career at New Mexico State University and the University of Montana.

As two-time state champions, the 2007 and 2008 girls’ golf teams are part of a rare

and elite group of Oregon golfers.
